December 1, 2010 To Our Valued Customers: Effective January 1, 2011, Eastern Connection will be instituting new services and rates. The overall rate increase is in align with the industry trend of 5.9% for all services provided by Eastern Connection We will continue to adjust the fuel surcharge to reflect current market conditions, passing on significant savings to our customers. Adjustments are also being made to accessorial charges in 2011. Please view our service guide online or simply contact your sales representative for more information. Advancements in Eastern Connection Services During these trying economic conditions, Eastern Connection has continued to roll out new features associated with our new technology platform. Eastern recently launched an updated website powered by the FACTS system. The website features the capability to trace shipments, view freight charges, and provides greater access to billing, administrative, and operating information in real time. FACTS will allow customers the opportunity to download invoices and additional shipping data directly from our recently updated website. For 2011 new features to be introduced include: Warehousing / Inventory capabilities, Automated Return Shipment processing and Various Sales tools.
